The Last Forager
A downloadable prototype for Windows
You watch as your land starves. Until one day, you can't watch anymore.
OVERVIEW
The invasion of a powerful foreign nation destroyed everything. A booming agricultural industry, wiped out just like that. The new Government seeks to bring 'equality and food security' by controlling all food growth and distribution; unauthorized possession is punishable by death.
It is either watching as the final dregs of your civilization are wiped out, or risking execution to do something. You're no-one special. All the brave ones are long gone. But at this point... anything sounds better than watching.
GAMEPLAY
"The Last Forager" is a singleplayer narrative-driven adventure game. It takes place in one of the nation's "dead zones" - a rundown ranch already "dealt with" and now considered uninhabitable. There, you interact with the world around you to gather and grow food, and uncover the story of what used to be.
Your time - and everyone else's - is limited. From sundown to sunrise the Government's creatures roam, leaving you only daylight hours to carry out your mission and cover your tracks. And remember: under no circumstances should you attract the attention of the Government.
